On March 27, Schneck Urgent Care temporarily transitioned to a respiratory illness clinic dedicated solely to the triage and treatment of patients with respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19.
During this time, Schneck continued to care for patients presenting with nonrespiratory urgent needs at Schneck Primary Care Jackson Park.
This week, Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb provided guidance that health care facilities with sufficient personal protective equipment, staff and necessary supplies to treat COVID-19 patients are now able to begin reopening services.
As a result, effective Monday, Schneck Urgent Care will provide services for all patients with urgent needs, including respiratory illness patients and testing for COVID-19.
Patients with respiratory symptoms including fever, cough and difficulty breathing should first call Schneck’s Coronavirus Hotline at 812-524-4266 to speak with health care staff and be advised on next steps. Calling ahead remains extremely important to limit exposing others to disease, such as COVID-19.
Schneck Urgent Care is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. To minimize wait times, patients are asked to reserve their appointment time online at schneckurgentcare.com.
Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and all patients are encouraged to wear a face covering per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations.
