A 79-year-old Jackson County woman was flown to a regional hospital Monday evening following a two vehicle wreck just east of Medora.
According to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, officers Justin Amos and Zack Elliott responded to a report of a personal injury wreck in the 6000 block of West State Road 235. When they arrived they found that a 2009 Honda Accord driven by Anthony Walker, 31, of Medora and a 2014 Ford Focus, driven by Carolyn Lynch of Medora had been involved in a head-on collision.
Police said Walker was not injured but Lynch was in her vehicle with unknown injuries when officers arrived. After being removed for her car and treated for injuries by personnel with Jackson County Emergency Medical Services and Carr Township Volunteer Fire Department, Lynch was flown to University of Louisville Hospital. Her condition was not available Wednesday.
A passenger in Lynch’s vehicle, Kristi Lane, 59, of Medora, also was uninjured, police said.
Police said the investigation into the wreck is ongoing.
