Sandy Creek Christian Academy has announced on its Facebook page that graduation for the Class of 2020 has been rescheduled for 2 p.m. Aug. 22 at The Tabernacle, 301 Indianapolis Ave., Seymour.
Senior families decided that a ceremony is best, so it was moved from the originally scheduled date of May 16.
Indiana schools are closed for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year because of the coronavirus and COVID-19 pandemic, and some other local schools have decided to do virtual graduation ceremonies.
Sandy Creek’s last eLearning day will be May 7. School cleanup, Chromebook drop-off and student school items pickup will be May 12 through 15. Each grade is scheduled a day with homeroom teachers for individualized pickup.
The school’s formal has been reset for Sept. 4 with RSVP by Aug. 14. It originally was scheduled for May 7.
