Telemedicine appointments made available

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Schneck Medical Center and Indianapolis Gastroenterology and Hepatology have elected to transition all gastroenterology and hepatology patient appointments to virtual appointments via telemedicine.

This will allow patients to remain safely in the comfort of their own home and still have access to their physician, according to a news release from Schneck.

Telemedicine visit options include appointments via telephone or video appointments via a mobile device or computer. No special equipment or app is required for an appointment.

Appointments are available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Telemedicine visits are for nonlife-threatening symptoms or nonemergency care only. If you are experiencing any life-threatening symptoms or require emergency care, call 911 or visit your nearest emergency room.

Insurance and co-pays will be billed for all telemedicine appointments. For all Medicare and Medicaid patients, no co-pay will be collected and no prior authorization is required.

To schedule a telemedicine appointment or questions regarding this service, call 317-865-2955.
