Aisin USA Manufacturing Inc. in Seymour announced today that a team member has tested positive with the COVID-19 virus.
The person is now recovering at home in self-isolation. The Jackson County Health Department has been informed. Aisin has been in contact with team members who may have potentially been exposed to the individual that tested positive. The entire Aisin workforce also will be informed.
The plant has followed Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cleaning and disinfectant guidelines in addition to company safety and environmental protocols. The company will continue to take proactive and aggressive steps to help prevent the spread of the virus and keep team members and their families safe.
The plant has been on shutdown since March 23 due to the Indiana executive order for Hoosiers to stay at home.
Aisin manufactures a variety of components for the global auto industry and employs approximately 2,000 full-time and temporary team members.
