Louis Raymond Banks, 85, of Brownstown and formerly of Vallonia, died Friday, February 7, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was a US Airforce Veteran and a member of the Driftwood Christian Church. Louis was retired from Seymour Manufacturing and served in the ministry for many years. He had a great love for music as he sang and played the guitar. He also enjoyed gardening, throwing horse-shoes, and discussing politics.

Louis was born on November 5, 1934 in Conway, Arkansas to the late William Michael Banks & Susan Turner Banks. On June 2, 1955 in Vallonia, IN he married Wilma Kay Dresselhause Banks and she preceded him in death on January 31, 2019. Other survivors include his children; Rhonda (Don) Brooks of McLoud, OK, Thomas E. (Tammy) Banks of Seattle, Washington, and Darrell R. (Ann) Banks of Williamston, MI; 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 3 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Joseph Banks & Fred Banks.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 brother, and 4 sisters.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia with Rev. Steve Gommel officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will take place at the Vallonia Cemetery with full military graveside rites. Memorial contributions may be given to the Driftwood Christian Church Mission Team.
