SEYMOUR
Mrs. Lois McKinney, 88, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Lutheran Community Home. She was born in 1931 in Kurtz, Indiana, the daughter of the late George and Goldie (Robertson) Ryan.
She married Gerald V. “Bud” McKinney in February 1951.
Lois was a member of Central Christian Church. She spent many years as a self-employed restorer of Antiques and Early American relics. She also worked at Browns Grocery. She spent her time mothering, grandmothering, chair caning, braiding rugs, gardening, and giving back any way she could. She enjoyed history, Bible study, bingo, and helping with funeral dinners at her church.
She is survived by her children, Kathryn Clark and Tony (Carol) McKinney; grandchildren, Courtney (Andrew) Groves, Jeremy Clark, Kristin (Brian) Bear, and Alison (Josh) Daniel; great-grandchildren, Lillian and Lucas Groves, Sydney and Callie Clark, Reece and Ella Daniel, and Riley Bear; and sister, Hazel McKinney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Ollie Howard, Mary Kaye Underwood, Ellen Nachand, One Mae Engle, Joyce Smith and Bonnie Pearson; brothers, Otis, Merlin and Cecil Ryan; and son-in-law, Timothy Clark.
Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Central Christian Church on Tuesday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ben Yee and Pastor Robin Everhart officiating.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Tuesday at Central Christian Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
