

Irene Lambert, 82, of Crothersville passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at her residence.
Born May 16, 1937, in Medora, she was the daughter of the Hubert and Eva Lonsberry Lambert.
Irene is best described by her family as “the sweetest person that you could ever meet.” She was a very hardworking, giving lady that loved people. She did whatever she could to be a blessing to others. Irene was an amazing cook, and the family will always treasure the memories of her coconut cream pie, cakes and beef and noodles. She had a talent for sewing and would often make clothing for her children. She loved music, including bluegrass. She particularly enjoyed going to church hymn sings.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Galliher of Crothersville; her granddaughter, Ashley Galliher of Crothersville; her brother, James Lambert Sr., and his companion, Sue Lindsey, of Vallonia; her sisters, Beulah Wheeler of Seymour and Phyllis Clampitt of Medora; her sister-in-law, Barbara Lambert of Medora; her extended family, Louis and Leah Rusch and Benjamin, Chase and Hailey Rucsh, all of Crothersville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Lyman Lambert and Carl Dean; and her sisters, Virginia Branaman, Mary Louise Thixton and Christine Smith.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre and on Saturday, February 8, 2020, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at time of service.
The Rev. Mills will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre. Burial will follow at Dixon Chapel Cemetery in Medora.
