Mrs. Fleta Royalty, 89, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jennings County to the late Charley V. and Rosa (McClellan) Dart.
Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday, February 7 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Schill officiating.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday after 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
On April 16, 1947, Fleta married William E. Royalty; he preceded her in death on May 3, 1988.
She was a devout Christian who loved to read her Bible daily. She enjoyed cleaning, sewing and doing laundry and was known to have floors so clean you could eat off them. She enjoyed being outdoors watching her birds and working in her flower garden.
Fleta is survived by her children, Gayle (Larry) Williams, Linda Hatton, Rhenita (Ronald) Cain, Marnita (Jeremy) Fluharty, Bradley J. (Melissa) Royalty; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson; sister, Edna Royalty; and son-in-law, Larry Hatton.
