The Hayden Historical Museum’s annual pie baking contest again will be Aug. 31 as part of the Auto Daze Gone By event.

Contestants may enter one or more fruit pies that do not need to be refrigerated. The pies may be dropped off at museum kitchen located at 6715 W. County Road 20S from 9 to 11 a.m. any day.

Judging will begin at 11 a.m., and the pies will be graded on appearance and taste. Awards will be given for first, second and third place.

Volunteer auctioneer Tom Lawson will auction the top three pies at noon on the pavilion stage. All other pie entries will be sliced and offered in exchange for a freewill donation.
