Work session, public hearings set before school board meeting

The Brownstown Central Community School Corp. board of trustees will meet Tuesday in the administration office, 608 W. Commerce St., Brownstown.

There will be a work session at 6:30 p.m., followed by an executive session at 7 p.m. to receive information about prospective employees and discuss individuals over whom the governing body has jurisdiction.

Next will be a public hearing for prebargaining negotiations at 7:30 p.m, followed by a public hearing for a proposed amendment to the superintendent’s contract. Public comments will be taken during the hearings.

The regular school board meeting will follow. Agenda items include appointment of a representative to the Southern Wellness board of trustees, consideration to add a fourth-grade teacher, consideration of additional special needs aides, appointment of a library board representative, permission to publish the 2020-2022 capital projects plan and 2020-2024 bus replacement plan and a report from Superintendent Tim Taylor.

All sessions except for the executive meeting are open to the public and press.
