Knit, crochet groups meeting at libraries

0

The Jackson County Public Library invites beginners to knit or crochet and advanced yarn-crafters to enjoy working on their projects together this month.

The Needle Arts Group will meet at noon Thursday at the Crothersville Library, 120 W. Main St., and Knit and Crochet Night is at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Beginners should bring short size 7 or 8 knitting needles or a size J or K crochet hook and a ball of regular worsted weight yarn to learn either craft. Experienced yarn-crafters may bring their current projects or try new knit or crochet patterns furnished to the group.

Crothersville Library participants also are encouraged to bring quilting, cross-stitch or latch/rug hooking projects.

These free drop-in programs meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of most months, but this is the final month of the Needle Arts Group in Crothersville.

The next sessions are set for Aug. 22 at the same times and locations.
