
CROTHERSVILLE
Walter G. Mosley, 85, of rural Crothersville, IN, passed away at 3:43 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2019 at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Born December 17, 1933 in Dillon, IL, he was the son Alfas and Eva (Bennett) Mosley.
Walter enlisted in the US Navy on March 2, 1953 and his last duty assignment was served on the USS Grand Canyon and then was honorably discharged February 28, 1957.
He retired from Cummins Engine company with 40 years of service.
On September 16, 1993 in Tennessee, he married Billie Faye (Sandlin) Mosley, who survives in rural Crothersville, IN.
Walter was a member of Alliance Bible Church, VFW post #1083 in Crothersville, where he was a very active member, served as the past commander and served faithfully for many years in the Military Honor Guard detail. He was an animal lover and rescued many different types of animals. He loved his pet cats and dogs.
Other survivors include, daughter, Rebecca Mosley of Salem, IN, sons, Steven Mosley of Salem, IN, and Michael Mosley, 2 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and step great grandchildren, step children, Elaine Hensley of Crothersville, IN, Sherri (Dwayne) Collman of Paris Crossing, IN, and Vaughn (Kathy) Hensley of California, and 1 sister, Deanna Mason of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Virginia Watts.
Pastor Rudolph Hamblin will conduct funeral services at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville, with burial to follow at Indiana Veterans Cemetery in Madison, IN, with a military graveside services at 3:00 p.m. Visitation Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville.
