Marshall, Waskom win golf tournaments

Bridget Marshall and Laken Waskom, both from Seymour, placed first in their divisions in Indiana Golf Association junior tour events around the state recently.

Marshall shot an 83 to place first in the girl’s 16-19 division in a tournament held July 19 at Wooded View in Clarksville.

Ethan Dippold, Seymour, shot 80 to place third and Conner Hinton, Seymour, shot 99 to tie for 12th in the boy’s 16-19 division at Wooded View. Sam Stewart, of Floyd Knobs, placed first with a 77.

Waskom shot an 84 to win the girls 16-19 division in a tournament July 19 at West Lafayette Golf and Country Club.

Waskom carded an 84 to place fifth and Marshall shot an 86 for sixth place in girls’ 17-19 division in a tournament at Country Oaks in Montgomery. Carly Frazier, Newburgh, was first with a 77.

Ethan Dippold, Seymour, shot an 81 to place eighth in boy’s 16-19 division July 24 at Kokomo Country Club. Camron Jones, Indianapolis, was first with a 77.

Trinity Lutheran to host girls basketball camp

Trinity Lutheran High School will be hosting a girls basketball camp July 29-31 at the Bollinger Athletic Complex.

The camp will run from 6 to 7:45 p.m. 

Campers will receive camp T-Shirt and there will be awards for contest winners and nightly prizes.
