Back-to-school information for the elementary and middle schools has been posted on their websites.
Elementary
It’s not too late to register a child for kindergarten. Call the school at 812-358-3680 to schedule an appointment.
Your child will need to come with you for a quick skills assessment, and be sure to bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunization records.
Parents will be able to hear about kindergarten expectations during a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the cafeteria at the school, 612 S. Base Road, Brownstown. Kindergarten teachers will go through important information that night.
The school’s Back to School Night is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Aug. 1. Students will have a chance to meet their teacher and may bring school supplies. Parents also can pay book rental, pick up car rider tags and check on bus transportation. School supply lists are available online es.btownccs.k12.in.us.
Middle school
Sixth graders will have orientation from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the school, 520 W. Walnut St., Brownstown, while orientation for seventh and eighth graders is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 1.
Back-to-school summer mailings are expected to go out this week.
