BC football camp week set
The Brownstown Central football camp week will start Monday.
On July 15, the 56ers football equipment handout, fall registration and camp sign up will take place at 4:30 p.m. on the high school game field. Middle school football equipment handout, registration and camp signups are at 5 p.m. at the middle school, and freshmen will have signups for their camp at 5:30 p.m. in the high school football locker room.
The 56ers camp will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. July 16-18 at the high school game field. Middle school camp will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the same days at the middle school.
Freshman Camp will take place July 16-17 at the high school game field from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Superstars Night will be July 19, and will feature physical tests for the high school team; a 56ers punt, pass and kick competition; a middle school scrimmage; and an awards ceremony at Blevins Memorial Stadium. The tentative schedule has the event starting at 4 p.m.
There will also be a community blood drive from 2 to 8 p.m. July 19 at the football stadium. Appointments can be scheduled at bit.ly/brownstown.
A 7-on-7 lineman challenge with Bedford North Lawrence and Franklin Community will take place starting at 9 a.m. July 20 on the high school field. That night, there will be a Dancing with the Stars fundraiser at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
Before the season starts, a "Football 101: Women’s Clinic" will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on July 31 at the football stadium. Admission is free.
