Sheffer places first in golf tournament
Micah Sheffer, Brownstown, placed first in the boys age 11 division in the Indiana Golf Foundation age group championships, held July 1-2 at the Pete Dye and Donald Ross courses at French Lick Resort in French Lick.
Sheffer shot 79-76 for an 18-hole total of 155.
Owen Marshall, Seymour, tied for 12th in the boys 16 group by shooting 76-81 for 157. Jason Bannister, Bloomfield, was first in this division with 145.
Bridget Marshall, Seymour, placed 12th in the girls 17 division with an 88-98 186. Annaliese Fox, Fountaintown, placed first in this division with 152.
