The Brownstown Town Council will conduct a special meeting at noon Friday at the town hall, 200 W. Walnut St., Brownstown.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss forming a redevelopment commission and tax increment financing district in the town. The council also will discuss budget-related items.

The meeting is open to the public and press.
