What about the market makes it beneficial to you as a farmer?

The Seymour Area Farmers Market is a wonderful place to sell our lettuce. Although it has taken time, we have a strong, faithful customer base. I am very thankful to everyone who shops this farmers market. The customers are the best.

What do you enjoy most about selling your goods locally?

I really enjoy getting to talk to the customers every Saturday. I have gotten to know my customers and enjoy seeing them regularly. I like knowing that my customers are getting a fresh, healthy product that hasn’t traveled hundreds of miles to get to their dinner table.

Why do you think folks should shop the market?

The vendors at the Seymour Area Farmers Market only sell items they have raised or made themselves. Customers are buying directly from the farmer or producer. It is all local, and there is not a middleman.
