Phi Beta Psi holds summer party

The Spirit Club, red and white teams of Theta Omega chapter, Phi Beta Psi sorority, met recently at the home of Jennifer Payton for a summer party where the red team entertained the white team.

Centering the appetizer and dessert tables was a three pineapple palm tree growing from a green area fashioned from kale leaves, made by Payton. Fried chicken and barbecue, along with several side dishes and drinks was served.

A card draw decided in what order the red team would chose their gifts. The recipients were Jackie Hill, Janet Cooper, Doris Baurle, Bobbie Sue Sweany, Melanie Klakamp, Rachel LeClaire, Desiree Hall, Joan Trimpe, Jan Robinson, Kalee Alberring and Sue Neaman.

A short business meeting was held. This will be the last meeting of the sorority fiscal year.

The national convention will be held July 18 through 20 at the Hotel Murano in Tacoma, Washington. Delegates are Robinson and Mary Reynolds, also attending are Cooper and Trimpe.

Following the business meeting, members revealed their secret sister names and exchanged gifts.
