Daniel B. “Danny” Lee, 77, of Crothersville, IN, passed away at 6:08 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, IN.

Born November 29, 1941 in Chillicothe, OH, he was the son of Harrison Lee and Mary (Harrod) Lee, who preceded him in death.

On December 12, 1959, at the former Crothersville Presbyterian Church, he married Marie (Turner) Lee, who preceded him in death on February 21, 2019.

Danny was a 1958 graduate of Crothersville High School. He worked at U.S. Shoe Corporation and after that he worked at Cummins Engine Company for 31 years and he retired in 1997. After retirement he worked with his grandson, Brent, at Lee’s Tire and 4X4 for 10 years. He also worked at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory where he was a dedicated, faithful employee, enjoyed getting dressed up as a sharp dressed man, talking to, helping, and assisting all the families. Danny was a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Crothersville, he was also the comical song leader and sang in the choir.

In his free time, he enjoyed squirrel hunting, canning, camping with his friends, playing golf, and spending time with his family where he was known as Poppy. He always looked forward to going to his cabin with his guy pals from work. He was the golf coach at Crothersville High School for two years.

Survivors include his 2 sons, Jeff (Gena) Lee of Crothersville, IN and Kelly (Tracy) Lee of Commiskey, IN, 5 grandchildren, Brent Lee, Erika (Jamie) Land, Krystal Seals, Tysha (Mitch) Smith, and Katelynn Youngblood, 6 great grandchildren, Silas, Maddox, & Ezra Land, Vahl’n Seals, Annick Gonzales, and Amelia Smith, Danny was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Heather Lee on May 28, 1998.

Funeral services will be conducted by Jeff Matthews at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory in Crothersville with burial to follow at Crothersville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory.
