Five Jackson County residents were among the 219 students who received undergraduate degrees during Franklin College’s commencement ceremony May 18 in Spurlock Center Gymnasium.
Pete Yonkman, president of Cook Medical and Cook Group, delivered the commencement address. He received an honorary doctorate of humane letters from the college
Jackson County graduates, their parents and degrees are:
Karen Jane Dringenburg, daughter of Dean and Kim Dringenburg of Seymour, received a Bachelor of Arts degrees in accounting and business (finance and management). She graduated cum laude. She also received the Indiana Certified Public Accountants Award. She is a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Student Athlete Honor Society.
Chase Alexander Loyd, son of Michael and Beverly Stein of Vallonia, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in music and theatre. He is a member of Theta Alpha Phi Theatre Honor Society.
Tristan Layne Sitterding, son of Clint Sitterding and Erin VanWinkle, both of Seymour, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.
Sydney Ranae Stuckwisch, daughter of Troy and Susan Stuckwisch of Seymour, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics (applied and quantitative analysis). She graduated cum laude. She is a member of Chi Beta Phi Sciences Honor Society.
Jakeb Douglas Webber, son of Melanie and Walkar Ritz of Brownstown and Doug and Bianca Webber of Columbus, received a Bachelor of Arts degrees in computer science and software engineering. He graduated magna cum laude. He is a member of Chi Beta Phi Sciences Honor Society.
