Carrie Tormoehlen will become Jackson County’s chief probation officer, effective Monday.
That announcement recently was made by Jackson Circuit Court Judge Richard Poynter, Jackson Superior Court I Judge AmyMarie Travis and Jackson Superior Court II Judge Bruce MacTavish.
Tormoehlen will replace Norman Phillips, who is retiring.
In a joint statement, the judges thanked Phillips for his years of dedicated service as the chief probation officer and wished him success in his retirement.
