What items do you sell at the farmers market?
We sell wheel-thrown and hand-sculpted earthenware pottery.
How long have you been producing the items that you sell at the market?
We have only been making our pottery for one year.
Is this full time or a side business for you?
This is a hobby for us.
What made you want to start your hobby?
We started doing it as a family before deciding to sell our pottery at the market.
What about the market makes it beneficial to you as a farmer?
We get to meet great people. There is low overhead for us as vendors, and the market is close to home. We also love the exposure we get to the community.
What do you enjoy about selling your goods locally?
We love seeing people interact with the pottery, especially coffee mugs, as to me, they are very personal in how they fit your hand. Each one is different and speaks to people in different ways. It gives me a sense of community knowing people will be waking up and enjoying that first morning cup of coffee in a Bevers Pottery mug.
Why do you think folks should shop the market?
It is a great family-friendly atmosphere where you can pick up quite the varied types of goods while supporting local farmers, bakers, cattlemen and artisans.
