Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E and B Paving Inc. will begin work to replace a box culvert on U.S. 31 north of Uniontown on or after Monday, weather permitting.
The road will close 1 mile north of State Road 250 for approximately 30 days while work is completed.
Additional bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects are scheduled to begin later this summer on U.S. 31 over Blau Ditch and Grassy Creek between Crothersville and Uniontown that also will involve road and lane closures. Additional details will be announced prior to each project’s start date.
The official state detour for all U.S. 31 closures in Jackson County will be I-65 northbound to U.S. 50.
