Information services manager Janet Hensen gave a report on her job and department when the Jackson County Public Library board of trustees met Monday at the Seymour Library.
Hensen has been in her position for almost a year and oversees adult programs in Seymour, Crothersville and Medora.
Upcoming fall programs include essential oils at all three locations and learning to play bridge, Family History Month programs about DNA and an expanded Our Heroes Tree program at Seymour. Information services also oversees the local history archive at jacksoncountyhistory.org that includes most county high school yearbooks. Volunteer Margaret Wilson also is scanning local elementary yearbooks.
Also during the meeting, the board approved personnel changes, changes to the information services and interlibrary loan-borrowing policies to include the current webpage for placing materials requests at myjclibrary.org/request-materials and after-hours programs from 6 to 7 p.m. Sept. 17 and 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Seymour Library.
The next board meeting is at 5 p.m. July 15 at the Medora Library.
