Immanuel Guild conducts June meeting

Immanuel Lutheran Guild’s meeting June 4 was called to order by President Linda Eggersman.

Pastor Jimmy Rodriguez led the group in song. He presented the topic "Flags." He spoke about flags of countries and flags of the Christian church. The red on the church flag represents the blood of Christ, the white stands for purity and the blue stands for justice.

Roll call was taken with 25 members present. The minutes were read and approved.

Birthdays for June, July and August were acknowledged, and nursing home visitations were discussed. The committee for the May spring party was thanked for the preparations and program.

The treasurer’s report was discussed.

Tables were decorated, and a choice of either cherry or blueberry delight was served. Hostesses for the evening were chairwomen Mary Anne Jordan, Lisa Lewis, Carol Denny and Tammy Martindale.

The meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer.

The next meeting will be Sept. 3 at the church.
