American Senior Communities recently announced that Seymour Crossing has received the 2019 Bronze — Commitment to Quality Award bestowed by the American Healthcare Association and National Center for Assisted Living.
This award is part of the AHCA/NCAL’s National Quality Award Program, which recognizes long-term and post-acute communities nationwide for demonstrating dedication to improving the lives of their residents through consistent, quality care.
This designation recognizes a community’s commitment to strive for quality improvement and its resulting ability to implement a performance improvement system. This award lays the foundation for the program’s next designation, which is the Silver — Achievement in Quality Award.
“Caring people make the difference is not just a slogan. We intentionally seek individuals with a heart for service and a calling to serve seniors,” said David Stordy, chief operating officer of American Senior Communities. “It’s an honor to be recognized for our commitment to delivering quality care. Going through the process of achieving the bronze award only makes our organization stronger.”
Statewide for 2019, there were 18 bronze award recipients, and 10 of those award-winning communities are American Senior Communities teams. All 2019 honorees will be recognized at AHCA/NCAL’s 70th annual Convention and Expo in Orlando, Florida, in October.
