Brown rolls against Rainiers

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS

Seymour native Zack Brown got the start on the mound for the Triple-A San Antonio Missions against the Tacoma Rainiers at Nelson Wolff Stadium Wednesday.

The Milwaukee Brewers prospect pitched six innings. He finished with seven strikeouts, three hits, three walks and two earned runs.

The teams were tied at 2 when Brown exited the game. Tacoma went on to win 4-2.

The Rainiers (32-35) are the affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.

Brown has pitched and started in 13 games for the Missions (41-26) so far this season. In 65.2 innings, he has struck out 47 while giving up 74 hits, 37 walks and 45 runs (37 earned). His ERA is currently 5.07.
