
Training sessions for Foster Grandparent program set
Adults 55 and older are being hired to fill openings for classroom Foster Grandparents based on income eligibility and background screening.
Training sessions begin June 18 in Columbus with school assignments beginning in mid-August.
Foster Grandparents serve in classrooms, Head Start centers and other youth-serving programs throughout Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson and Jennings counties.
Serving with Foster Grandparents provides seniors the opportunity to share their lifetime of experiences, talents, learning, wisdom and interest in a one-on-one situation.

Thrive Alliance and Foster Grandparents focus on helping older adults and individuals in Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson and Jennings counties with disabilities remain safe and independent in their own home as long as possible. Services also include providing safe and affordable housing for low-income individuals and families.
