Chamber planning workplace seminar
The Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce will conduct a seminar on unconscious bias in the workplace from 9 to 11:30 a.m. June 13 at Premier Companies, 811 W. Second St., Seymour.
Registration is $40 per person. Continuing education credit is available through Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus.
Melissa C. Fairbanks, director of the university’s Center for Business and Economic Development, will discuss unconscious biases and the impact on their employees and businesses. Recognizing the value of becoming aware of bias, businesses have increased unconscious bias training at all levels in organizations.
