Pastor installed at Emanuel Lutheran Church

The Rev. Kenneth Davidson was installed May 19 as pastor of Emanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dudleytown.

Davidson, who has served at Zion Lutheran Church in Atlantic, Iowa, for the past 14 years, completed college at Concordia, St. Paul. He vicared at Zion Lutheran in Clark, New Jersey, and holds a master of divinity from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. Davidson and his wife, Alice, have three children.

The Rev. Dean Wenthe, president emeritus of Concordia Theological Seminar in Fort Wayne, preached, while the Rev. Nathan Rastl, third vice president of the Indiana District of Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (Southern Region) and pastor of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Vincennes, was the installer.

The Rev. Andrew Currao, the circuit visitor and senior pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Seymour, was the liturgist. The Rev. Philip Bloch, associate pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour, and the Rev. Lohn Johnson, intentional interim pastor of Peace Lutheran Church in Seymour, served as lectors.

Johnson also served Emanuel, which is located in the Seymour Circuit, as vacancy pastor for most of the last two years.

Area pastors assisting included the Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez, associate pastor at Immanuel; the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, senior pastor at Immanuel; and Seminarian Tyler Werner with Immanuel. Also, the Rev. Joseph Barlau, associate pastor at Redeemer; the Rev. Jeffery Stuckwisch, senior pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Seymour; the Rev. Bradley Akey, associate pastor at Zion; the Rev. Jordan McKinley at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vallonia; the Rev. Paul Newman of Lutheran Community Home in Seymour; the Rev. Matthew Jung of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jonesville; the Rev. Edgar Keinath of Ambassadors of Reconciliation in Seymour; and the Rev. Craig Muhlbach of St. John’s Lutheran Church Sauers.
