Library board to meet at Seymour

The Jackson County Public Library board of trustees is scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. Monday in the meeting room at the library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.

Lola Snyder, head of youth services, plans to give a report on the summer learning program, and Director Julia Aker’s report will include a review of a personnel policy, an overdue fine and lost material.

Aker also will ask for approval of the resignation of Marisa Lakins, youth services program assistant, effective May 21, and the appointment of Chloe Baker as summer assistant, effective June 3.

The personnel committee also will give a report on salary revisions for the 2020 budget and an evaluation of the director.

Board meetings are open to the public and press.
