SEYMOUR
Loran Eugene “Bud” Wilson, age 53, of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Seymour Crossing. Born May 4,1965 in Seymour, he was the son of Virgil Loran and Carolyn (Spurgeon) Wilson.
Bud attended school at Brownstown Central. He went to Gorbett’s Chapel church and volunteered from 2007 to 2015 at the Hoosier Christian Village. Bud was a huge Elvis fan and would often impersonate Elvis and sing Karaoke.
He worked for Poor Jack Amusements during many county fairs. Bud enjoyed listening to country music, enjoyed dancing, watching classic TV such as Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Andy Griffith and more. He loved spending time with family and when his niece Brooke was sick, he helped his parents with her care.
Survivors include his son, Daren Wilson of Austin; siblings, Monique (Rick) Phegley of Freetown, Terri (Bryan) Wilson of Brownstown, Brenda (Doug) Strain of Bloomington and Becky Wilson of Elletsville; nieces and nephews, Heather (Tom) Gross, Rusty Phegley, Tim (Adilee) Phegley, Kris Cole, Nate (Maggie) Cole, Sarah (Cory) Robinson, Matt (Ashley) Wilson, Scott McKnight, Jennifer Strain, Wallace Bohall and Shelly Bohall.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Susan Cole and Cathy Jo Wilson; and niece Brooke Suzanne Tilford.
A celebration of Bud’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20th at the Freetown United Methodist Church. Friends can visit with family from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
