Owls finish 7th in HHC
MADISON
Seymour collected 14 hits in a 16-6 Hoosier Hills Conference win over Madison Friday.
The win placed the Owls (11-8) seventh in the HHC. The Owls fell to Bedford North Lawrence and Jennings County in its first two conference games earlier this week.
R.J. Kleber, Devin Hill, Jake Roberts and Jayden Brown each had two hits for the Owls. Ten different SHS players recorded a hit.
Matthew Moore recording the win on the mound, pitching five innings while recording seven strikeouts, two walks and five hits.

Red Devils edge Owls for 3rd
JEFFERSONVILLE
Jeffersonville swept the singles and pulled out a three-setter at No. 3 singles for a 3-2 Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament win over Seymour Friday.
Sandra Cernio topped Emma Ellis 7-5, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and Peyton Levine bested Loran Halstead 6-4, 5-2 at No. 2 singles for the Owls.
Alayna Lacy and Olivia Bischof defeated Kristina Griffin and Mallory Moore 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles and Kassie Brown beat Avery Ragon and Madalyn Baurle 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 at No. 2.
The Red Devils’ Lydia Kittrell defeated Kirby iIll 1-6, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles to help clinch the win for Jeff.
The Owls placed fourth in the HHC with the loss.
