A Jackson County woman recently received her degree in early elementary education (P-5) from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
Abigail Criswell of Brownstown completed the requirements for the Bachelor of Science degree during the 2018-19 academic year, according to a news release from the university.
The school conferred 26 types of degrees to 1,537 students during its recent annual commencement ceremonies. That was the largest group of graduates Cumberlands has ever celebrated.
