The Franklin College Art Department presented awards April 30 at the opening reception of the spring semester student art exhibit.
Students from all levels of studio art classes are displaying a selection of their work completed during the spring semester. Select pieces of art are available for purchase.
Included in the exhibit is the work of Macey Chase, daughter of Leslie and Jennie Chase of Seymour. She received an Award of Merit in Design II and an honorable mention in Advanced Fine Art Photo.
The art department will showcase student work through Monday. The exhibit is free and open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays in the Elba L. and Gene Portteus Branigin Atrium of the Johnson Center for Fine Arts, 255 Branigin Blvd., Franklin.
