The Jackson County Head Start Preschool is now enrolling for the 2019-20 school year.
Head Start is a free program to income-eligible families. Your child must be 3 years old before Sept. 1 to qualify for this upcoming school year.
Head Start offers three different classrooms — two half-day and one full-day class. Only the half-day classes offer bus transportation. Breakfast, lunch and a snack are provided.
The class times are 8 a.m to noon, noon to 4 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Head Start is at 1058 A Ave. in the Freeman Field Industrial Park across from the airport terminal.
