MEDORA
Shirley Ann Huffman, age 84, formerly of Medora, passed away peacefully at the Hoosier Christian Village on May 1, 2019, at 9:45 am.
Shirley entered this life on November 22, 1934, in Jackson County, Indiana to the late George B. and Hazel (Brown) Umphress. She was a graduate of Medora High School and married the love of her life, Dale Huffman. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1997.
She was a loving mother and Ma-maw Shirley to her family. She was a homemaker and worked at the Medora Plastics Factory.
Those she leaves to cherish her memories are her children: Mike Huffman and his wife Deborah, Rita Booker, and Lisa Wilkerson; eleven grandchildren: Richie Keith and his wife Alietha, Samuel Huffman, Joshua Huffman and fiance Jessica, Amanda Hubbard, Melissa Stewart and her husband Ross, Mark Booker and his wife Amber, Matt Booker, Jason Booker, George Wilkerson and his wife April, Billy Wilkerson and his wife Kim, and Dusty Johnson, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a sister Bonnie Duffy, and several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son: Mark, a brother: Bill Umphress, a son-in-law: Christopher Johnson, and a niece: Cheri.
A funeral service will be held at Hague Funeral Home of Medora on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jack Belk and Pastor Dennis Temple officiating.
Visitation will be at Hague Funeral Home of Medora on Friday, May 3, 2019, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Burial will be at Proctor Cemetery Dixon’s Chapel
