Loyal Devoir Society meets at Seymour church

The Loyal Devoir Society of Central Christian Church in Seymour met at April 23 with Group 4 as hostess. The tables were beautifully decorated.

President Paula Stafford called the meeting to order with 14 members present.

Betty Guinn held devotions and closed with prayer. She also gave the treasurer’s report. Judy McDonald read the minutes of the March meeting. Both reports were approved.

Bonnie Koontz was set to conduct a sale of old cookbooks April 28.

There were no cards or flowers sent. Helen Horton had back problems but is better.

Under new business, the group’s bake sale is at 4 p.m. May 8. Items should be brought in that afternoon before 3 p.m. A freewill offering will be accepted.

The Delta Kappa Gamma dinner will be at 6 p.m. May 21. Loretta Riehl will purchase the groceries.

After some discussion, the menu will be baked pork loin, scalloped potatoes, cranberry salad and an assortment of pies. Members volunteered for the cooking, serving and cleaning for the dinner.

The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction.

The next meeting is May 28 with Group 1 in charge.
