
The annual Megan’s Wish dinner and auction is May 4 at the National Guard Armory, 1925 First Ave., Seymour.
The event is a fundraiser for Seymour’s Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis to fund research to help find a cure for the disease through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Dinner will be served at 4 p.m., and the live auction starts at 5:30 p.m. with auctioneer Bobby Honey.
A Texas Roadhouse meal of barbecue chicken with two sides, roll and butter will be served. The meal also includes a drink and dessert. Meat can be substituted with choice of hamburger, hot dog or barbecue pork provided by Bill and Marlis Kidd.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for a child’s meal (same as adult but only half portions) or $3 for a child’s hot dog meal that includes a bag of chips with a drink.
Items up for bid include certificates and merchandise donated from local businesses, tickets to Disney amusement parks, gift certificates for restaurants and hotels, autographed sports memorabilia, gift baskets, ladders and more.
There will be children’s activities, a 50/50 drawing and door prizes. Food and drinks also will be sold.
