
Jackson County Farm Bureau met at 6:30 p.m. March 28 at the Farm Bureau office in Seymour.
Jessica Sons gave devotions.
Brittany Ross, a collegiate Farm Bureau member who attends Vincennes University, represented Jackson County at the National Young Farmers and Ranchers Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and discussed her experience and the speakers at the convention. She was granted $200 to help defray her expenses.
Becca Bonell from Indiana Farm Bureau talked about working with 4-H and FFA in Jackson County. Meghan Bartells and Brittany Ross discussed Young Farmers.
Olga Otte read the minutes. Nina Vehslage gave the treasurer report.
The board decided to order 100th anniversary T-shirts.
Brenda Ault, CEOC, announced the district meeting April 9 in Switzerland County and that scholarship applications had been delivered to all Jackson County high schools.
Mallory Meyer gave the district report. It was voted to donate $50 to the Antique Farm Machinery Show.
The meeting adjourned. The next meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m today at the Farm Bureau building on Airport Road in Seymour. All Farm Bureau members are welcome to attend the meetings to see if they would like to become board members or serve on committees.
