Max Perry, age 84, of Brownstown passed away peacefully on the early morning of April 18, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Max entered this life on September 9, 1934, in Point Isabel, Indiana to the late Harold and Mildred (Hiatt) Perry. Max married the love of his life, Barbara (Davers) Perry at Herbst United Methodist Church of Herbst, Indiana.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. Max was a farmer in the dairy industry his whole life. He was a member of the Medora Christian Church and Medora Lion’s Club.
While serving with Lion’s club he was the Membership Director and was awarded Lion of the Year for 2010-2011 for his devotion and loyalty to the Lion’s Club. He enjoyed watching horse racing, watching Indiana Pacer games, and spending time in his garden.
Max will be missed by his wife of 43 years: Barbara; his loving children: Kathryn Lambert and her husband Henry, Nannette Turner, David Perry, Teresa Greer and her husband Ronnie, Lori Rigdon and her husband Pat, and Leslie Wisdom and her husband Tim; his twelve grandchildren: Amanda Perry and her fiance Tracy, Shane Greer, Silas Turner and his wife Brittany, Jeremy Greer, Wendy Warner and her husband Ryan, Mary Barham and her husband Tanner, Garth Rigdon, Riley Wisdom, Victoria Rigdon, Ramsey Rigdon, Rudy Wisdom, and Riann Wisdom; and six great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Evadine Phillips and Charlene Bollinger.
A Funeral Service will be conducted by Hague Funeral Home at Medora Christian Church on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. Officiating Max’s service will be Jeff McPike and Rob Johnson. Burial will follow be at White River Valley Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Medora Christian Church on Monday, April 22, 2019, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday after 10:00 until time of the service.
Memorials may be given in Max’s name to the Medora Christian Church or to Hospice of Schneck.
