Franklin College production includes county residents

The Franklin College Theatre Department will present a collection of six short plays at 8 p.m. April 25 through April 27 and at 2 p.m. April 28.

The six short plays include "Colors," "Coffee Break," "Go Look," "Guest List," "Talk to Me Like the Rain and Let Me Listen" and "Joshua Consumed an Unfortunate Pear."

Sophomore theater major Katy Thompson will present "Colors," a piece she created and will direct for the beginning directing class. She is the daughter of Patrick Thompson of Cortland and Leanne Powell of Columbus. She also will direct the play.

Thompson will direct "Coffee Break," too. It’s short play written by Tasha Gordon-Solman. The cast of the production includes Sydney Stuckwisch, daughter of Troy and Susan Stuckwisch of Seymour.

Chase Loyd, son of Michael and Beverly Stein of Vallonia, will direct "Go Look," written by playwright Chris Graybill.

Performances will be in Théâtre Margot in the Johnson Center for Fine Arts at Branigin Boulevard and Grizzly Drive.

General admission is $12. Admission for each performance is $8 for students and seniors (55 and older). Audience discretion is advised.
