Forgey named to 60 Rural Hospital CEOs list

Warren Forgey, president and chief executive officer of Schneck Medical Center, has been named one of the 60 Rural Hospital CEOs to Know by Becker’s Hospital Review.

This is Forgey’s fourth consecutive year to be named to the list. He is the only CEO recognized from Indiana.

Forgey, a Freetown native and Brownstown Central High School graduate, is recognized for his leadership and dedication to providing high-quality, accessible care to the community, according to a news release from the Seymour hospital.

He has been instrumental in advancing patient-focused care at Schneck, including leading its most recent expansion and renovation project highlighted by a five-story medical office building and attached parking garage.

He also has achieved significant improvements in operations, accomplishing cost efficiency while increasing patient satisfaction. Under his leadership, Schneck has earned a debt rating of A from Standard and Poor’s and a rating of AA- from Fitch Ratings.

The Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team selected leaders through a review process where a number of factors were considered, including awards received; local, regional and national leadership positions held; and the organization’s performance.
