Accomplishments this past week: Roberts won two three-set matches for the Braves, including one that helped the Braves to a 3-2 Mid-Southern Conference win over Austin.

How were you able to perform to your fullest potential this past week?

“I was able to perform to my fullest potential this past week by forgetting everything when walking out on the court and just focusing on my game.”

What did you do well?

“I was impressed with my serves.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“No, I don’t do anything special.”

Favorite drink: Dr. Pepper

Favorite food: Hot wings

Favorite music: 2000s rock

Favorite book: “Empire of Storms”

Favorite class: Spanish

Role model: Novak Djokovic

Best advice?

“No pain, no gain.”

If you could travel anywhere and why?

“The Bahamas because I love the beach.”

Athletic goals?

“To be better than what I was yesterday.”

Accomplishments this past week: Goecker ran a 9:45 3,200 at the Corydon Stargazer, tied the school high jump record at 5-9 at Southwestern (Hanover) and ran a 4:37 1,600 at the Sam Sumner Invitational and was also the MVP of the meet.

How were you able to perform to your fullest potential this past week?

“I’ve made sure to drink around eight bottles of water every day, get plenty of sleep a night or two before a meet and increase the amount of mileage I’m running each week.”

What did you do well?

“I’ve learned how to properly pace myself for my events so that I’m not exhausting myself earlier in the race.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“On every bus trip, our team blasts music to get us excited for the meet.”

Favorite book: “IT” by Stephen King

Best advice?

“Always put forth your best work. Cutting corners cheats yourself and becomes a hard habit to break.”

If you could travel anywhere and why?

“I would travel to Valencia because the area is beautiful, there are many attractions such as the City of Arts and Sciences and it would be incredible to run on the beaches.”

Athletics goals?

“By the end of year, I would like run the 1,600 in under 4:30, the 3,200 in 9:30 and qualify for state.”
