A program for people with questions about Social Security and retirement is set for 5 p.m. May 9 at the Brownstown Public Library, 120 E. Spring St., Brownstown.

Registration for "The Social Side of Retirement" is requested and may be made by visiting the library or calling 812-358-2853.

The program is designed to answer some common questions regarding retirement planning, including:

  • How much do I need to have saved to successfully retire?
  • Can I count on Social Security?
  • What do my Social Security benefits look like, and what’s the best strategy for taking benefits?
  • How do I plan with my current assets to maximize my retirement income?
  • Will I need life insurance or long-term care insurance?

Join Michael Gorin and Joe Knoth of WestPoint Financial Group for an informative discussion regarding Social Security.
