A program for people with questions about Social Security and retirement is set for 5 p.m. May 9 at the Brownstown Public Library, 120 E. Spring St., Brownstown.
Registration for "The Social Side of Retirement" is requested and may be made by visiting the library or calling 812-358-2853.
The program is designed to answer some common questions regarding retirement planning, including:
- How much do I need to have saved to successfully retire?
- Can I count on Social Security?
- What do my Social Security benefits look like, and what’s the best strategy for taking benefits?
- How do I plan with my current assets to maximize my retirement income?
- Will I need life insurance or long-term care insurance?
