Starting on or after Monday, contractors will begin a $383,000 project to replace a culvert on U.S. 31 over Mutton Creek Ditch, approximately 2.5 miles north of U.S. 50.
Work will begin with right-of-way clearing and shoulder widening, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
Once those activities are complete, U.S. 31 will be reduced to single-lane traffic. Crews will use temporary signals and a barrier wall to maintain traffic in both directions during construction.
