Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch, in collaboration with the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s Division of Aging, recently announced nominations are now being accepted for the 2019 Golden Hoosier Award.

The annual award was established in 2008 and honors Hoosier senior citizens for their lifetime of service and commitment to their communities.

To be eligible for the award, the nominee must currently be an Indiana resident, age 65 or older and have been a volunteer in the community for the past three years.

The deadline for submitting applications is April 29, and an electronic nomination form may be found online at in.gov/lg/2532.htm.

The ceremony honoring those selected will be June 24 at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center.
