Dragons, Miners win Seymour Semi-State

A pair of Semi-State champions emerged from the Lloyd E. Scott Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.

Linton-Stockton defeated Shenandoah 73-56 in the Class 2A game while Silver Creek topped Indianapolis Crispus Attucks 72-69 in the 3A contest.

The IHSAA’s 2018-19 state finals will be held this Saturday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Following the Class A game between Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian (27-2) and Barr-Reeve (26-2), slated for 10:30 a.m., the Miners (27-3) will play Andrean (20-8) for the 2A title in the first session.

In session two, the Dragons (24-3) face Culver Academies (24-3) at 6 p.m. for the 3A championship before Carmel (25-1) and Ben Davis (20-7) compete for the 4A trophy.

Admission is $15 per session (two games). Tickets can be ordered online at IHSAA.org. Bankers Life will open its gates one hour prior to the start of each session.

All four state championship games will air live on Fox Sports Indiana.
